SurveyMethods makes it easy to manage your surveys by creating folders to help you stay organized.

When you create a new account on SurveyMethods, your account will come with two folders, All Surveys and Default Folder. The All Surveys folder will contain all of your surveys, regardless of whether they are moved to a different folder. The Default Folder will be the folder that is displayed initially when you log into your account, or anytime you return to the My Surveys page.

Creating Folders

To create additional folders, click on the “Manage” link next to the folder dropdown on the My Surveys page.

Then click the “Add Folder” button.

Enter your folder name in the dialog box and click Save.

Your new folder will be added and you can now move surveys into it.

Rename a Folder

To rename one of your folders, navigate to the folder management menu by clicking on the “Manage” link next to the folder dropdown on the My Surveys page.

Then click the “Rename Folder” button.

Choose the folder you wish to rename, enter the new name, and click Save.

Your new folder will be renamed.

Move Survey to a Different Folder

To move one or more surveys between folders, navigate to the folder management menu by clicking on the “Manage” link next to the folder dropdown on the My Surveys page.

Select the folder that currently contains the surveys you wish to move, then select the surveys to be moved and click the Move Survey To button.

Choose the folder you want to move the survey(s) to and click Move..

You will be asked to confirm, and once you do the surveys will be moved.

Delete a Folder

If you need to delete a folder, navigate to the folder management menu by clicking on the “Manage” link next to the folder dropdown on the My Surveys page.

Then click the “Delete Folder” button.

Choose the folder you want to delete and click Delete.

Your folder will be deleted. Any surveys in that folder will NOT be deleted, but they will now only be found in the All Surveys folder.

Other Actions

Note that in the Manage Folders menu, you can choose whether to display 10, 50, 100 or 500 surveys per page, using the dropdown on the right-hand side.

You can delete or copy surveys on this page using the icons on the right side of the survey list.

To return to the My Surveys page, click “Surveys” on the main navigation bar.
