The Navigation and Numbering Properties menu enables you to manage various navigation and numbering properties in your survey:

Show/Hide Progress Indicator and Choose Style

The first setting in the navigation and numbering properties menu allows you to choose the progress indicator in your survey. You have five options to choose from:

  1. Display Progress using Progress Bar
  2. Display Progress using page numbering: Page X
  3. Display Progress using page numbering: Page X of Y
  4. Do not display Progress Bar
  5. Do not display Page numbers and Progress Bar

The default selection is “Display Progress using page numbering: Page X of Y”.

Display Progress Using Progress Bar

The progress bar will be displayed without any accompanying text.

Display Progress Using Page Numbering: Page X

Display the progress bar and the page number, without displaying the total pages in the survey.

Display Progress Using Page Numbering: Page X of Y

Display the progress bar, the page number, and the total number of pages in the survey.

Do Not Display Progress Bar

Do not display progress bar or page number progress.

Hide progress bar, progress bar page numbering, and page numbering in page title:

Show/Hide “Previous” Button

To hide the “Previous” button in your survey, and thus prevent respondents from being able to return to previous pages and change answers, you can check the setting titled ‘Hide “Previous” page button on survey’ in the navigation and numbering properties menu.

If you do not want the title of your survey displayed to respondents, you can hide it by checking the “Hide Survey Title” setting in the navigation and numbering properties menu.

If you do not want the page titles displayed to respondents, you can hide them by checking the “Hide Page Titles” setting in the navigation and numbering properties menu. Note that the page number will remain unless you also check the box below (“Hide Survey Page Numbers”).

If you do not want the page number displayed next to the page title, you can hide it by checking the “Hide Survey Page Numbers” setting in the navigation and numbering properties menu. Note that this setting is separate from the page numbers in the progress bar.

Show/Hide Question Numbers

If you wish to hide question numbers in your survey, you can do so by checking the “Hide Question Numbers” setting in the navigation and numbering properties menu. Note that certain question types (message display, image display, video display) are automatically not numbered.
