All survey response deletions are permanent, regardless of how you delete them in the application. You will always be asked to confirm a deletion before it is processed.
Our data deletions are permanent. However, we take backups and, depending on when the deletion happened, it may contain a full or partial copy of your data. While we cannot restore this data back into your account, we can download the data as an Excel file and share that with you. This is a manual process that must be carried out by a senior developer so we require a $299 charge for the service (subject to change).
If you would like us to attempt to recover data for you, please email us at smsupport@surveymethods.net with the following information:
- Your SurveyMethods login ID (email address you use to log in to SurveyMethods)
- The name of the survey that contained the response(s)
- When the survey responses were collected
- When the data was deleted
We will attempt to determine if some or all of the data is recoverable and then follow up with next steps.
