If the “From” email address you have entered has its domain name as “surveymethods.com,” your emails will not be prevented from going out. However, if your invitees need to reach out to you by replying to the email, the reply will bounce because it is addressed to a non-existent email address.
The domain name is the part of an email address after the “@” sign:
If you use your own email as the “From” email address, SurveyMethods will automatically substitute the domain with “surveymethods.com” in order to improve email deliverability. However, when a respondent replies, the SurveyMethods application will route that response to your email address. For more information on “From” email substitution, visit our help article on the topic.
We strongly recommend using Custom SMTP, which will not only improve email delivery rates but also give you complete control over the routing of emails as well as in-depth information on non-delivery and bounces.
